This fortune cookie sure is right! It’s been such a busy day today, especially with the holiday weekend coming up. I know many people that work hard at their jobs, come in early and leave late. They seem to make themselves busy.
But for what? For that big promotion, or that new executive title. Though I am a firm believer in working hard to success, I am also a firm believer of working smart. The work day is only 8 hours, make the most of it by diving into your work head on instead of talking at the water cooler. Form relationships with your coworkers and learn new skills. The busy bee will still stay in the same old rat race. Step back and think for a moment as to how the job you have will get you where you want to be.

Whether you’re down in the dumps or having the best day of your life, how can you not take an optimistic view of life? Life is wonderful, life is beautiful, life is amazing, life moves on. If you’ve been hit with misfortunes your entire life, just know that there are people much worse off. If you have food on the table, clean water, and a roof to live under, you have no excuse but to have an optimistic view of life. Whenever something unfortunate happens to you, just know that it happens for a reason and to learn from it

Yesterday, I talked about how you should not sacrifice family, principles, and enjoying life for a fast track to success. Today, I want to put a different spin on that. In today’s society, practically everything except for breathing costs money. It’s a shame that you’re always spending money no matter what you do. In today’s economy, save your money! Be careful about what you spend, and remember, time is money!
